The 2Rivers Festival is almost here! Our preferred property management company, Williams and McDaniel, is highlighting this exciting summertime festival happening near their Guelph apartments in today’s blog post.
Get to know the 2Rivers Festival
The 2Rivers Festival is an annual event celebrating and raising awareness for the Speed and Eramosa Rivers. The festival includes nearly a dozen different river-related activities that are appropriate for all ages. Festivities will be held from June 9th through June 14th. The event is free to the public.
There are many ways to participate in this year’s 2Rivers Festival. Find the complete schedule of events online. Highlights include Paddle the Eramosa on opening day of the festival. For this event, head to Gow’s Bridge (McCrae Boulevard), less than a ten-minute drive from Kortright Apartments (79-83 Conroy Crescent) on Tuesday, June 9th. Paddling will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. You will not want to miss the Two Rivers Celebration Event at The Boathouse Tea Room (116 Gordon Street), only a ten-minute walk from Terrace Towers (125 Raymond Street).
Give back to Guelph
One of the most important parts of the 2Rivers Festival is the annual 2Rivers Cleanup, formerly known as The Speed River Cleanup. This year the cleanup will happen on Saturday, June 13th from 9:00 a.m. until noon. To participate, check in at the covered picnic area located at Eramosa River Park (259 Victoria Road South), a 20-minute bike ride from Juniper Apartments (3 Delaware Avenue).
